Robert Walker is a Managing Director for the Lender Processing Services (LPS) Applied Analytics division. Rob is in charge of all real estate product development; including, but not limited to, automated valuation model development and all products emanating from LPS’ SiteX platform.
A 20+ year veteran of the real estate information industry, Rob recently joined LPS from First American CoreLogic.
During his tenure with First American, Rob was instrumental in helping First American become the leading AVM purveyor in the nation. Along that path, Rob also led successful AVM development efforts in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
In October 2004, Rob earned the Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB) designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. The CMB designation represents the pinnacle of professional achievement in residential lending with approximately 1,000 CMB holders nationwide.
In August 2005, Rob was awarded the CMT (Certified Mortgage Technologist) designation from the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. There are approximately 12 holders of both the CMB and CMT designations in the industry today. A thought leader in the development and application of AVMs, and the author of multiple articles on their use and application, Mr. Walker holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia University in New York.
Rob’s professional goal is to create the next generation of valuation tools that successfully integrate computer based analysis with local market expertise. The developmental goal is to engineer faster and more reliable valuation products for residential lending.
